Windy Cove “B” Campground FAQs
Area 24 is located along Salmon Harbor Drive just past the bridge as you enter Winchester Bay.
Each pass is $350 – $400.
Cabins – each pass is $800
Each camping pass is good for six days and five nights starting at noon on Tuesday, August 5th and ending at noon on Sunday, August 10th, 2025.
Camping passes can be pre-purchased through our website by using the link on this page. If campsites do not sell out before the event, passes can be purchased at the entry gate when you arrive. Traditionally, these campsites sell out quickly once available for sale.
No. Camping passes and event entry wristbands are sold separately. We did this to keep the cost as cheap as possible and wanted to make sure each participant only had to purchase what they needed.
You can pre-purchase wristbands through the website for $50 or purchase them at the gate. We recommend purchasing them through the website to help reduce wait times at the gate.
Yes. Please be aware that everyone in your vehicle will need wristbands to get through the entry gate to access your camping spot. These wristbands may be pre-purchased through our website for $50 each or obtained at the entry gate during the event. Kids 12 and under are always free!
The event starts at 9 am on Wednesday, but you can check in starting Tuesday, August 5th at 12 pm PST (noon). Unlike previous years, there is NO additional fee to set up camp on Tuesday after noon!
All participants are asked to clean their sites and firepits and check out by 12 pm PST (noon) on Sunday, August 10th.
There is no additional charge for extra vehicles or trailers within Windy Cove B Campground. However, all vehicles, offroad vehicles and equipment must fit within your reserved space. There will be no overflow or overnight parking available.
Dozers are not required in this area. Area 24 is an existing campground with a paved surface.
No flags or additional ORV tags are required on your vehicle to access campsites in Area 24. Flags and ORV tags are required only when you enter the dunes.
Area 24 can be accessed from Salmon Harbor Drive.
Yes. This area includes thirty-nine (39) full hookup campsites, twenty-eight (28) tent sites and two (2) cabins. Gray/Blackwater is not permitted to be dumped on the ground. If you need your tanks serviced or filled during the event, please call Roto-Rooter at (541) 290-0775. They will be camped on the sand and would be happy to service your trailer for a small fee.
Campfires are allowed in the campground. Participants must use the fire rings supplied within each campsite. Participants are required to follow all County and local rules concerning safe campfire operations. This includes temporary burn bans that may be in effect during the event. Glass bottles and pallets are not allowed in the camping area or in the firepits. Any trash, debris and unused firewood remaining at the end of the event must be taken with you when you leave. Please help us leave the campgrounds better than we found them!
Areas 24 is an existing campground and has multiple dumpster locations throughout the campground. We ask that all participants help keep the dunes clean by using these dumpsters during the event.
Area 24 is an existing campground with restrooms and showers located within.
Area 24 will have a full-time host. Feel free to swing by and say hi as they are there to help and answer any questions you may have.
